yeah, having mentions of canon main characters (I'd include companions in this, too?) kept to passing would probably be best- same with using the bioware defaults on the heroes. Helps stop people having their toes trodden on, and disagreement with admins 'choosing' canon (especially in the case of who rules Ferelden/what race the Warden or Inquisitor is/Who's divine)- so the world's essentially a blank slate for everyone. Also then complies with the comics and novels!
having a Hawke/Inquisitor/Warden would be wild af, but yeah, depends on how many people are in on this- if it's a decent amount then it might come off a bit unfair (in which case then it's easier to just scrap it and keep the focus on the little people)Especially since it means those characters might pick world-changing decisions

yeah exactly hrm i agree!! i'm setting up the roleplay board section rn, and i'll write up a preliminary FAQ section which mods can change/fiddle with/add suggestions to at their leisure!! thanks for helping with these lil details n choices guys :3 i've got a few ideas as well - such as a 'quest board' thread where plot ideas can be put up as quests (including your OC's character quest if you have something in mind for that) where people can 'sign up' and yall can thread together :3
i'm also thinking there could be guild sections? such as a thief guild or mercenary guild which would combine the ideas of over arching nation reaching plots as well as providing an over arching force that characters would be able to rally behind ?

apologies if I'm jumping a dozen guns, but would it be all right to maybe put up a like... character meme/intro template or something for people to use for the OC debutante ball? some basics and background/personality outlines, etc?

omg a quest board is an excellent idea? encourages people to party up together, too? (It's almost psuedo-D&D)
carta/coterie/crows/(maybe even Ben-hassrath, if a way can be found to do actual qun-abiding chars properly?) guilds would help w/ cohesion, too (and give new members an easy in, rather than having to solo it from the start)

i think maybe pop it under a new thread in the RP section just so it doesnt get lost in this thread her would be easiest (until it gets integrated into the RP FAQ) ! also i think the reason the @ing doesnt work is because my username is actually 'admin' because when making a forum i didnt get 2 pic a name  but i could pick my display name ? it was a lil odd but there ya go heh |

omg yes please to the custom banner stuff i'm terrible at CSS and all that but there are options to fiddle with colours/layout of the site!! i was a little too timid to tweak it yet for fear of messing it up and also because i'm still stumbling around the controls of this space ship like a bit of a nerd but once i figure it out that would b SO COOL

Hey! Would like to get a mod board going (mostly for site-layout talk, just so I don't clog up the general boards) but I think the permissions are set to strictly administrator ? (even when I set it to "staff", moderator doesn't count?)
@hawke is there any way to set up a mod board from the admin panel that includes moderators??
EDIT: Mod board's up! after much fiddling. Permissions should be set properly, already.
