Full name (+titles, if any): Clara Monica Aimee Fluerette Renard, Mistress Renard or Mistress Clara, Clara Monica (Never just Clara or Monica, unless you're very close to her.)
Age:
22
Gender:
Female
Race: Human (Half-elf)
Nationality: Orlesian
Class/Occupation: Duelist (double daggers), formerly a Bard.
Background:
The Renards are seen as the best place to obtain luxury goods in Orlais. They used to obtain their merchandise by personally adventuring for the best goods, more recently they hire mercenaries to obtain such items for them. Even more recently they can be seen involving themselves in politics. Clara Monica is the youngest daughter of this very wealthy and influential family. Though Master Renard is largely unaware that her true father is one of the servants, Clara Monica put two and two together when she was quite young. The lingering touches, the way the two look at each other, the sneaking around, the fact that she looks barely at all like Master Renard. She always thought it romantic growing up. When she was twelve she finally ask her mother about the affair. Her mother explained to Clara that the servant was nothing more than an idle fancy and that her husband would always come first. Clara was very upset by this news, that the affair was not a beautiful romance she had always pictured in her head. She knew better than to confront her real or adoptive father about it. That would simply result in someone dying, as it always does in Orlais. Instead, she swore she would be nothing like her parents, getting fat off of other people's labor.
When she was around sixteen, she decided she would become a bard. She had long since learned to play instruments and tell fascinating stories. The young girl learned the fighting skills quickly and even became somewhat amused by death. It earned her a lot of coin that she didn't need and she spent most of that giving gifts to her friends and favorite servants. At the time she found it to be something she'd want to do forever. After all, she got to spend time with more nobility, perhaps this would be a good place to increase her rank in society. Slowly, however, she began to actually listen to the conversations she was involved in. The confessions she'd hear from clients that seemed amused by betraying people who cared for them, by hurting people who were innocent, by taking things which did not belong to them. The last straw was when one client told her about how he treated his elven servants. He wasn't alive when she left his manor that evening.
So she quit being a bard, but kept up her skills. She remained a player of the game, but mostly to keep up appearances. Clara now spends her time helping people in need, putting her skills to good use. Got a darkspawn in your local tavern? She'll take care of that! A templar took your grandmother's pendant? She just so happened to find it! Don't ask where it was, she didn't steal it or anything! Spiders running amok in your cellar... you might have to get someone else for that.
Personality:
Clara Monica may seem like your average stuck up Orlesian noble and that's because she kinda is. Dirt and grime aren't something she's fond of and she loves elegant and beautiful things. She is incredibly flamboyant and even more so flirtatious. Monogamy isn't something she necessarily is interested in, but she'd be willing to be monogamous for a beloved partner. Not that it's ever happened before, of course. Frequently she is described as naive or childish for a number of reasons. She's far too quick to trust others, since she grew up not having any reason not to. This often causes people to abuse this trust and use her for personal gain. Clara Monica is quite mischievous, she often tells small lies to rile up nobility or start petty conflict. She does this because it's amusing and she assumes, usually rightfully, that they deserve it. Since she spends so much time around other high ranking merchants and nobles, she enjoys talking and spending time with people who are more down to earth. Regularly she'll partner up with mercenaries or people who's goals align with hers.
Clara has little to no prejudices. She enjoys helping people regardless of their race or class. Being very small and somewhat fragile, she prefers to ally with people who are stronger or taller than her. They are usually really easy to hide behind, so enemies will be less likely to see her daggers. She appreciates people who are honest and forthcoming. She has a hard time with people who refuse to be friendly with her, often getting frustrated or potentially even crying.

Clara Monica resisted the urge to frown. Lord Braus was telling of his latest wyvren hunt and the grandeur of it all. He was a simply insufferable man who had been trying to impress her all evening. It was not working.
"Of course, they're much bigger than people say!" She could see the sweat form under his mask. "Though, they are member s of the dragon family, as you well know."
"Naturally." She drank some of her wine. This event was getting duller by the second. Though she hardly expected it to be otherwise. "Actually, I wanted to talk to you about this very thing."
She placed her hand on his tunic. He puffed up a bit, nervous no doubt.
"Oh?"
"You're lures, you realize they are quite close to some farmland. The wyvrens have been making trouble for those poor people." She exaggerated her frown into a pout. "Now, I know such skilled hunters as you, we can take care of those no problem."
She leaned closer to him. She could see his neck turn red, it would be almost cute were he not so absolutely abhorrent in every conceivable way. He stammered at her in response. "Oh, yes of course Mistress Renard."
"But those poor simpletons, they wouldn't know a sword from a shovel!" She smiled sweetly and leaned into him. "I was hoping, dear, you would move your traps to somewhere less crowded. That should be no problem for someone of your stature!"
"Of course, it is not an issue." He smiled back at her. "But I will do so only if you promise to come along to the next hunt!"
She wanted to say no so badly. She knew that hunt would simply be Lord Braus trying to seduce her the entire time. She wanted nothing more than scoff at hima nd leave. However, in order to get what you want in Orlais you have to play the game. "I would be simply delighted! I have not hunted something so simple since I was but a child! It will be nice to relax."
"Ah... yes... quite." He muttered. Those farmers better be very grateful.
